I am finding it harder and harder to color digitally. . .since I recently started to explore traditional medium I am finding digital so clunky and hard to love as much as I did. I will still do most of my art digitally, but have a new love. . .I believe in the near future, like maybe tomorrow, I will explore doing traditional kids art!
Here is another sketch. Most of these are done early morning either at home or Starbucks or at night watching tv.
Have a wonderfully creative day!
I think it is great to explore new mediums! And I agree with you, I still consider myself a traditional artist. As much as a use the computer for design... I LOVE putting brush and pencil to paper when I am happily illustrating.
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday,
Lisa
i love my pencil and paper........i miss pen and ink.....should pull that out.
ReplyDeletei love both too, but too much time on the computer and I need to get back to my pencil, pastels and paper.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting perspective to hear about, being a digital illustrator myself. It's great that you are broadening your horizons. That's never a bad thing!
ReplyDeleteExplore and create! we learn more from our mistakes so embrace them - even better things are on your horizon. I had a painting that turned out to be naughty the other day in class - it wasn't fun - but I learned. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for stopping by! Certainly is wonderful to have friends on the internet who share the same mediums and have insights that are so valuable. Wonderful! I will be stopping by your blogs for fun too!
ReplyDeleteI love to watch the paint go on with a brush and the colors run and blend right before my eyes. One of the great things about being an artist is continual growth and learning and changing.
ReplyDeleteSherry I think that is what I like about it too! And the accuracy of what you have. . .
